Principles Of Education

Our Philosophy and Belief System led us to an explicit understanding of the different principles of education enumerated here which correspond to the key elements of our VISION – MISSION.

1. Education awakens the intellect of a person. –Provision for individual as well as group activities enable children to be actively involved in their own learning. Varied activities are incorporated in the different learning areas that help enhance creativity and awareness of one’s potentials/capabilities.

2. Education provides for independent thinking wherein learnes discover things on their own. – Teachers are merely facilitators of learning, guiding students to think in order to learn and be responsible for their own learning.

3. Education provides for a good foundation for the integral development of the student’s personality and their participation in the work towards the common welfare. – Practical life activities develop/improve students’ personality and provide real life exercises that satisfy their inner desire for skills and self-reliance. Values are likewise integrated in the different learning areas, giving students varied learning experiences for making an individual as well as group choices and decision-making.

4. Education prepares an individual in understanding his rights and responsibilities toward himself as well as those of his fellow individuals, his family, community, his country and the countries of the world. – We are committed in providing our students with relevant and meaningful experiences that develop awareness of themselves, their immediate environment as well as the outside world. Provisions are given for students to gain knowledge on the culture of other people and an understanding of their culture with the other people in the world.

5. Education strengthens individual’s desire for national unity and internal solidarity that promote peace and equality, respecting man’s dignity and fundamental freedom. – The school provides activities that help develop leadership abilities and empower our students in becoming competent individuals with desirable values taking into account individual differences and demonstrate unwavering commitment in maintaining a wholesome and peaceful environment.
