American Mathematics Olympiad 2017
More than 200 primary and secondary students around Riau archipelago and Riau province converged in our campus last October 14 to compete in the American Mathematics Olympiad.
For the 1st time, Sekolah Kallista hosted this year’s AMO for grades 2 to 9. Participants spent solving non-routine problems to finish in 90 minutes.

American Mathematics Olympiad (AMO) is an affiliate of Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools, USA (MOEMS) and there are similar affiliates in Columbia, Iceland, Australia (APSMO), Philippines, China and India.
“The AMO has encouraged interest in mathematics among young students and has contributed greatly to developing mathematical talent throughout the years,” said Sekolah Kallista’s Mathematics teachers, Lenie Jacinto. Ph.D. and Ms. Diana Villaceran.
